A family with a purpose.  Those few words say so much about our vision.

Family.  We are called to authentic community.  To love each other genuinely in what we say and what we do.  To lay down our lives for each other.  To effectively live out what the Word of God means when it says we really do  need each other and we are incomplete without each other.  (1 Corinthians 12).

Purpose.  We are called not only to love each other, but to love the world around us.  We are to be to each other what Jesus has been to us so that together we can impact the world with the living presence of the Spirit of God in us.  And when we live like that, we bring Glory to God.

A message to Proclaim.  We have nothing more and nothing less than the message that Jesus proclaimed about himself and then commissioned his disciples to continue proclaiming after he returned to his Father in heaven.  He said, “the Kingdom of God has come, repent and believe the good news.”  We can turn to Jesus (that’s what repent means) and experience the blessings of heaven itself in our lives - forgiveness of our sins, restored relationship with God, restored relationship with each other, peace, joy, and a whole lot more.  We are called to proclaim that good news to everyone we can everywhere we can.

The works of Jesus.  Jesus said some amazing things about His followers.  Things like, “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12).  He promised that he would fill his followers with the Holy Spirit so that they would be empowered to continue His ministry.  We are called to bring the blessings of God’s Kingdom in very practical ways.  Healing for the sick, deliverance for those under the influence of spiritual darkness, aid to the poor, comfort for the hurting, restoration for the wounded in heart...the powerful blessings of Jesus at the point of human need and suffering

Demonstrating the Love of Jesus.   One of the most amazing promises of God is that when we come to Jesus He changes us from the inside out.  He promises to give us a new heart.  He promises that Holy Spirit will not only empower us to proclaim Jesus’ message and do His works, but that He will also develop in us the very character of Jesus.  Everything Jesus did was bathed in mercy and love.  We are called to demonstrate that same character of love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, patience, faithfulness, and self control in everything we say and do.

Thanks for joining us in this journey.  It’s a great adventure!

"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'   This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."  - Jesus

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." — Jesus
